BIOGRAPHY/RESUME

Life is an interesting journey, a work of art in progress. I have periods in my life which I have forgotten and periods I wish I could forget. I have gathered many friends along the way, and it is because of them that I have survived and love each and every one of them dearly. I have loved and I have lost, and I have loved and found comfort in my soulmate. My children have challenged me every step of the way and now it is time to let go and let them find their own way.
My daughter is a veteran of our current conflict in Iraq and is the mother of a 2 year old. Since she has returned from Iraq, she has been ill, and has been diagnosed with stomach cancer. The community has reached out to us in many ways, and there is now a website http://meganaid.com which was designed by Jonathan Talbot and Loel Barr, two wonderful friends. You can read Megan's story or help out if you so desire, say a prayer, or forward it onto others.
At 49 I am learning that family comes first above all. I am learning how to love myself and others with a very deep passion; this has been a difficult journey when one never had appropriate role models. I am also utilizing the gift of art that the universe has granted me, and it brings me much joy and comfort, and I hope to others too.
My art takes on many forms. Often quirky, surreal, political, and sometimes romantically beautiful. I have been influenced by the work of the Surrealists and Pre-Raphaelites, and have termed much of what I do "Neo-Victorian".
Thank you for the interest in my journey and may you take something of it with you on yours.
